Animals and birds that are stray or injured
We at Parken often receive inquiries about taking care of animals and birds that are either alone, injured or similar.
We ask that you contact your nearest veterinarian/bird rescue or wildlife board. They can guide you on an acute problem.
IMPORTANT!
As a wildlife park, we have very strict rules on what outside animals we can accept.
We ask that you do not bring seemingly healthy small animals/birds from the area where they are, to us. - All animal species. Parents are most often in the immediate vicinity unless otherwise registered. Parents of the animal/birds keep their distance from people/possibly dogs outside or in cars, - until they notice the danger is over.
Small offspring can often take other paths than their parents want - and they will soon be picked up by their own - when the danger is over . They can often seem cuddly towards people and somewhat confused, and do not quite understand that their parents are waiting for them right next to them. Therefore, keep a very good distance from wild animals/birds!
NOTE! Report injured animals and birds as soon as possible to the nearest veterinarian/game board in your exact location.
Wildlife Board/veterinarian : Contact the police as soon as possible on 02800 at the location you were in to be transferred or to get in touch with the wildlife board's emergency telephone number.
They should be contacted immediately when you come across an injured or sick wild animal. Of course, your own collision should be reported !
Our veterinarian at the Park decides after any contact whether an animal/bird can possibly fit in with us at the Park in certain, but unfortunately rare cases. But sometimes it can fit, and then we at the Park are very happy.
Quarantine rules are probably absolutely crucial here due to the possible risk of infection of diseases carried by our other various animals.
