Question: Is it possible to bring your own food?
Answer: Yes, you can bring your own food and eat in the Park.
WE PRESENT: It is not legal tobring disposable grills into the park. Regardless of the area you want to grill. This is because there may be a fire hazard in our fine and fragile park and area where a large number of animals live in locked enclosures. We have the right to expel the customer if we register this.
WE DON'T WANT A FIRE HERE.
We have therefore established permanent barbecue areas for our visitors to use and we sell charcoal packs and matches in the Kiosk, in the Mountain Lodge and in our gift shop at the entrance. You can of course also bring your own charcoal for your own use on our permanent barbecues.
Safety and cleaning up after your own barbecue, and for the next barbecue guest, now becomes your priority. Waste, such as plastic, bag clips, snuff pads, used cigarettes: - use our set up bins for it. Also during your walk in the park.
Unfortunately, our free-ranging birds and animals think that stuff is edible. Then they can die from it. Dispose of your waste in our several nearby bins. Food waste is thrown in a separate box. Thank you for doing it.
We expect our visitors to respect this.

Question: How do I know the animals are doing well?
Answer: We train all our animals with the concept of positive reinforcement. Cuddling when they need it, and good food and care. That's how animals learn best and feel safest. All our animals are trained to voluntarily participate in medical treatment. We are a park where they will live in their own element, without people having access to the enclosure for a closer proximity. Except for agreed admissions for visits to smaller animals. They are wild animals. The training project is new and it will increase animal welfare considerably. Our enclosures for our animals are large and wide, so outside of feeding times they can be in a place where you can't see them. During feeding times you are guaranteed to meet them. See info about feeding times . Ask one of our skilled animal keepers if you want to know more about it! Visitors are prohibited from throwing/giving food to the animals without employees present.

Question: Are dogs allowed in the park?
Answer: No , it is not allowed to bring dogs into the park. Regardless of size. Because we have various birds that roam freely in the park, and all kinds of animals that should not be disturbed by your dog. Not least a possible risk of infection/diseases that our animals should not be exposed to. We have therefore established a dog farm for our visitors with 10 separate enclosures + dog house where you can leave your dog. Located in the shade from the sun. They get their own separate enclosure and their own house. You register with your phone number and name before entering and rent the lock at the reception for NOK 150,- per day. Then we can also contact you, the owner of the dog, during your stay if anything happens. NOK 50,- you will get back when you return the lock and key to us at the reception .
Rules:
It is otherwise prohibited to use our cages for dogs; please take care of yourself, without permission from the Park administration.
We regularly check the area as a safety and accountability for our already housed dogs. Established camera surveillance. All cages have a number and their own key.Failure to hand in the key and final signing after use will result in a fine of NOK 500.
Ps. You are clearly responsible for accompanying your dog during their stay and giving them water and food. Sometimes they need you to come by and say hello and give them a cuddle. You have free access in and out of the Park the entire day of your visit. Maybe leave your dog's own blanket before locking them in? For the dog, it is a strange place and they are looking for their owner. And several other dogs can become neighbors. We have a water tap, dog houses in each enclosure, and water bowls have been established. Enclosures/cage cannot be pre-booked in high season. But let us know at the reception in the Family Park if this may completely disrupt your travel plans . We have 10 separate cages, and all of them are rarely busy. If possible, we CAN reserve a cage for you in advance on the exact date. Let us know about it: jk@familieparken.no .

Our employees collect everything we find forgotten during the day, and every evening after closing. It is continuously placed at the reception at the entrance to the Family Park under forgotten items/found property.
Ask or call us at the hotel's tel. +47 743 33 600 if there is anything you miss after your visit. We can arrange for it to be sent back if we know your name, address and telephone number, or a picture of the item you have forgotten. A name tag is always sent back. Then you only pay the postage for sending. We already have a lot in our warehouse, which we would have liked to have been picked up by the owner. Please check carefully BEFORE you leave here if you have EVERYTHING with you after your visit!
Contact us as soon as possible at post@familieparken.no . Mark the email #forgotteninPark.
